DeZURIK, 1928 To Today
The Sartell Paper Mill had a problem with pine pitch build-up on their valves. They looked to an inventive employee for a solution. His name was Matt DeZurik. Matt designed a valve with a segmented plug mounted on pivot bearings at each end of the shaft. The plug had a cam (eccentric) closure action against the raised body seat – a revolutionary development at the time. With that invention, Paper manufacturers immediately recognized its advantages and sent in their orders. Since then, the DeZURIK product line has extended beyond the paper industry. Expansion & Acquisitions
2011
DeZURIK acquired APCO and Willamette – two industry-leading water and wastewater brands. With renowned technology in Air Valves, Check Valves, Surge Relief Valves, Metal Seated Ball Valves and Cone Valves, APCO and Willamette products are a perfect addition to DeZURIK’s vast line.
2012
DeZURIK acquired HILTON Valve, Inc. – a leading producer of fabricated large diameter and custom knife gate valves. Combining HILTON products and operations with DeZURIK created one of the broadest knife gate and engineered valve companies in the industry.
2021
DeZURIK acquired Red Valve, a global leader for innovative elastomers, pinch valves, check valves and engineered mixing systems. The two main brands are Red Valve and Tideflex – both which tout strong market share in their areas of focus.
